Construction Progress Report – May 2017

Boat construction is a very complex process involving sourcing and integrating thousands of components from many global suppliers.  To accomplish this feat, the skilled team at the shipyard includes electricians, plumbers, carpenters, refrigeration, HVAC, riggers, painters, and fiberglass layers.  From our latest report from the shipyard, we see that quite a bit of deck hardware has been installed since our last report – chainplates, hatches, cleats, toe rails, rub rails, and stern steps have all been installed.  The shipyard is in process of installing our winches, anchor windlass, and interior floors.  Our sister ship, Idlewild (to the left of Mira) is well on its way to launching just ahead of Mira.  Activity is definitely accelerating.  It’s going to be a busy Summer!
